My Jaw Dropping Moment

My jaw dropping moment would have to be when we heard that my great grandmother ( GG )  pasted away. It was just last night when it happened and it was sad I will admit it. It was shocking. I didn't know what to do at first. I didn't know if I should cry or be happy for her. She was happy here at our home but I feel like she was at "home" . She is my dad's grandmother so my dad was very torn up considering his father had died around this time 5 years ago. GG choose my dad to take care of her after she lost her husband and son , and to see him so sad it made it feel unreal. My mother and I were her two main care givers ,so it is hard for me to realize that she's gone. Just because I am SO used to seeing her everyday. Walking into her room and her smiling face asking me how my day was or how I'm doing. My GG is my role model and to have her gone is hard. It's shocking. She was strong, and she was strong she kept me going. She kept me strong. But I know she is happy with where she is. She is now with her husband ,son, and family. Velma LeMaster will always be my everything and I will never forget her smile.

True Friends

True friends are the people who stay by your side through EVERYTHING. They never give up on you and never leave you. I say I have a lot on friends but when it really comes down to it I only have like 7 friends that I would actually hang out with out of school. When people see me they look at me and assume that I have a million friends but I really don't. I have been trying led I am very friendly, and I try to be as friendly as a can. But just because I'm friendly to everyone doesn't meant I want everyone to be my friend ,and I don't honestly care if people don't like me. Because at the end of the day I have my best friend. Okay.. I kind of have a lot of "best friends" but not to say they aren't good friends they just can not beat my REAL best friends. My BEST FRIENDS who I am super close with don't even go to Webb. To me that adds for to the fact about how they are such good nights . They go out of their way to make a point to see me all the time . A best friend do not judge not only just me , but she doesn't agree with everyone. My best friend never gives up. Everyone needs a best friend who they can trust, and depend on.

My "GG" is my topic. She is my great grandmother who lives with us. She is an amazing person. She has lived a life that I could only dream to live. She has such fascinating life story, and I just felt the need to share a little bit about her. Velma LeMaster aka GG has sown her whole life. When I say her whole life I literally mean her whole life. She started when she was 11 years old. Her mother taught her when she was younger but she remembers doing actual sewing jobs when she was 11. Sewing is and will always be a part of her life. She had met her husband at this factory she once worked at. They worked together for years and over the years fell in love. They once went to Russia to teach this sewing pattern to this Russian clothing brand. To me just going to Russia is a huge life accomplishment, but to her it was just her job. When she tells me stories about her time in Russia she only has good things to say. She encourages me to go any chance I will ever get , because she believes it was absolutely amazing. :)

Cyber Bullying/ Bullying

Okay... Cyber bullying is a terrible thing to do. I mean really any type of bullying is bad, but I feel like this one is the worst type of bullying. I think it is the worst because kind of like saying "hey I don't like you , but I'm also not going to say it to your face." To me that is also saying that your a coward ,and you can't be the bigger person and own up to what your about to say on text , Instagram , Facebook, Twitter ect. the list can go on and on. Once you press send .. Whatever you just typed will be there forever.. Just because you delete it doesn't mean your "safe" someone saw it . Atleast one person and that one person will/can tell the person that that post was just about, about what you said. I personally have been cyber bullyed multiple times ... And I've also bullyed before. I know it is not something to be proud of and trust me if I could take back everything I ever said or have done I would in a heart beat. Being cyber bullyed is terrible because it's not like only you and that one person see it ... No it's posted for the WHOLE world to see. So the message is don't cyber bully and don't bully at all. It's not something to be proud of . So think before you press send , share, update ect... Think how would I feel if someone did this to me? ( yes I know this isn't really about me but it is something that has been on my mind lately)

Harris Middle School of Shelbyville , Tennessee

Harris Middle was my old school in Sheblyville. I have friends there that I've known since kindergarten. I miss them ... But I do not miss the school it's self. To be completely honestly that school was terrible. The whole school revolved around sports ,and  that bothered me . Especially since I cared more about my grades then how many points we beat Tullahoma by. I mean I have to admit I did go to a lot of the games. ( and still do) But sports is all every one ever cared about. Off that topic and now on to the teacher there... Man.. In 6th grade I was in the "magnet" program and I was told that I asked too many questions and that I can be replaced. So that was a WONDERFUL first year of middle school. ( not really) Just last year my home room teacher got fired in the middle of the year.. So we got a new teacher and he let us watch movies for the first 2 weeks of when we became the teacher. So the last quarter of the year he tried to cram all kinds of info into a couple weeks. It was so hard to do... I never want to experience that ever again, also all the students are treated like a pay check . The teachers just don't care. They just know as long as there are at school on the clock they will get payed. That is also a terrible feeling to have too. AND THE STUDENTS THERE!!! They do not care at all . They literally are some over the most disrespectful kids I've ever met. I'm not saying all kids there are bad but there will always be at least one , but with my luck I ways got the "bad" kids in my class. Harris is a "party " school , and there is no "studying " area. In conclusion Webb is soooo much better than Harris.

Chapter 5

"He found himself understanding the wearisome of life,where every path was an improvising and a considerable part of ones waking life was spent looking at ones feet" 

By this I think he's saying that life is too short to worry about what everyone else is doing. You have your own life ,your own future to worry about. So get YOUR stuff in line ,and you do you. This is your life. Not theirs. It's time to step out of the "box" . 

Chapter 6-7

 The sign is a dead body from the plane crash. To me I think it symbolizes to them that they need to get real. Like the place that they are at is not a joke... It not a fun place. It is serious. An they need to start taking it as serious as it actually is. They need to buckle down and start listening. So  the "sign" symbolizes that right now is not a joke. It's real life.

Chapter 4 review

My out look on "life" has not really changed. Life is kind of the same in this chapter, but I did notice that some of the children are now realizing what's going on. For example when Henry was playing in the sand ; he kind of had a realization moment and was like "woah, this is real life ... No one knows where we are and no one even knows if we are alive or not."

My out look on " violence " is has kind of sparked. When Jack and the hunters left the fire to catch a pig and Jack heard that a boat had passed by he did turn kind of violent. But honestly who would not get mad if something that you have been waiting for passed and you missed it.

My out look on "power" is that is has changed. Now EVERYONE wants power . An for the ones who do have a little bit of power they extend it as much as they can with out OVER doing it.

Writing a Letter to Auntie

  Dear Auntie ,
               As I'm sure you are not aware of I'm stuck on an island. WITH NO ADULTS. It is so hectic here. So serious. No one here respects me either! All the boys here are complete jerks to me. Also I told my friend Ralph what all the kids at school used to call me . Well that was a huge mistake. Now I am known as "Piggy" . Maybe that why they don't respect me . I mean lets be honest, who would respect a person who's name is "Piggy " . But auntie ... Gosh these boys... I don't think I have ever met any people ever as rude as them. See we have this "counch" and who ever has the counch gets to speak. So I have the counch and I before to talk and everyone else talks. But if it were Jack or Ralph talking they would all shut up and listen. But nope not with me, so I got dogged on for not being a strong leader then later dogged on for not taking every ones name. An now let's be honest who would want to write EVERY SINGLE person you see name's on what? Like what am I supposed to write on?! We are on an island! I guess either way it goes I did for a fact forget to wrote every ones names down. Well I think it's time to go and lay down now and prepare for tomorrow.

What Would The World Be Like Without Adults

             A world without adults sounds like heaven to kids but could lead to big problems later.
At one point in our lives we've all wished that there weren't any "grown-ups", but now that we are older we all  (mostly everyone) realizes how much we depend on adults in our day-to-day life style.
Adults are our ultimate goals of life once you think about it, so a world without adults would be totally hectic. No adults would mean no rules , and yes I know there are those some kids who follow every direction perfectly and never question it. But without any adults to set rules to follow . There wouldn't be any reason to be "that kid". So honestly I think that a world without adults would be SOOO hectic and just pure craziness. I mean some kids can't even control themselves when their teacher walks out of the room for 2 minutes. So I could only imagine what kids would do if they lived with 0 adults.

While reading the story The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon , I noticed the struggles of Christopher and the way he was treated by different members of his community. Some embraced his "handicap" and helped him thrive , while others used it to hold him back.
     I agree with the statement , I think that those who are born or live with disabilities are often babied by society. We tend to do things for them with the assumption that they can't or won't be able to do it correctly. When possibly give the opportunity they may not be able to thrive in all areas but could probably do a lot more than we first thought they could. I think that everyone has some degree of handicap in some area , they may just not know it yet. The community may not be intentionally holding the person back but in their efforts to "help" them they are actually hurting them by not giving them the chance to try.
